Ciao Bella Italia. Three words that I know in Italian. Saying that I know ten would probably be a stretch. It is okay though. I know how to say goodbye to beautiful Italy. (even if that is not grammatically correct) I really hope it is not goodbye but really just a taste test (no pun intended) for a much longer stay.
I spent the morning on the balcony of our little room. Everyone else was sleeping and I just wanted to have some alone time with the city and time with my own thoughts. I think I spent most of the time thinking about how it feels to be in this country, how surreal the whole experience is, and how blessed I am. I also did some self reflecting, but I think I'll keep that to my self.. otherwise it would just be "reflecting".
The six of us packed up our stuff, ate breakfast, and then headed out to wander. We found ourselves headed to the park of Borghese. It was absolutely beautiful and romantic. There were tandem bikes and little row boats. There were even Geese (I think Tyler fell in love). As we turned a corner in the park Tyler says "I found something!" We further investigate and find the Modern Art Museum.
We only spent about an hour in the art museum. Tyler and I spent about fifteen of those minutes trying to find a bathroom. It was amazing though and such a perfect find to spend our afternoon exploring.
Gelato was lunch. I definitely know enough Italian to order Gelato (not that you even really need Italian since everyone seems to speak English- makes me wish that I had learned more than one language already.) I don't even want to know how much Gelato we ate over our three days in Italy. I guess it doesn't really matter though. Calories are don't count in Italy. When in Rome right? :)
I could conclude our journey with another paragraph (or 13) about my love of Italy and my desire to see more cities and how I feel like a spoiled brat being sad to HAVE to go back to Barcelona and how I just want to stay in Italy for a year or two.... but I think after the last three blog posts you have gotten the idea.
When we returned back to Barcelona the six of us went to a vegetarian restaurant called Organic. Thats right, we went to a vegetarian restaurant! I have never even been to one if you can believe that! It was absolutely amazing. I have the best friends. Thankfully they all enjoyed it too. There were so many eclectic locals there as well. After leaving Organic I realized that I could definitely live in Barcelona.
Our night concluded with finishing our homework. I won't write a paragraph about that. We sat in a room and worked on EU economics homework. *sigh*
